The Aircrew Survival Egress Knife (ASEK®) is an essential tool utilized by the U.S. Army’s Air Warrior Program, as well as other branches of the U.S. Armed Forces. This versatile survival knife includes several key features: a partially serrated edge, a sawtooth spine, and a molded handle that is electrically insulated with holes for attaching the knife as a spear. It also has a glass breaker butt cap that doubles as a hammer, a lanyard hole, and a flame-retardant MOLLE-compatible nylon sheath with a Kydex® insert and two leg straps. Additionally, the knife comes with an anodized aluminum strap cutter that includes a screwdriver, honing rod, lanyard, and a replaceable blade.
